About THE HAPPY CHURCH
THE HAPPY CHURCH is the creative (read: imaginary) venture of a group of Christian friends after a messy night aboard the lash-train on New Year’s Eve 2009. The site of this momentous event (the church, not New Year’s) was The Impy, Exeter whilst consuming a £3.89 large breakfast. It was alot.

“When was the last time you laughed for the sheer joy of your salvation? People are not attracted to somber doctrines. There is no persuasive power in a gloomy and morbid religion. Let the world see your joy and you won’t be able to keep them away. To be filled with God is to be filled with joy“ – Anon.

Does this stop me from pointing out that your ‘anon’ quote seems to assume that whatever the truth is it has to be persuasive and happy. Of course it is persuasive and happy, but not necessarily so.
